I’m always breaking my sunglasses

My wife is very much into fashion sunglasses. She likes to keep a pair in the glove box of her car, as well as a pair in her purse.  I’m always breaking sunglasses – I think I must sit on them by accident.  She was thinking about buying me a new pair of Serengeti polarized sunglasses over the Internet, and she was showing me a few different pairs that she liked. I liked the fact that the sunglasses are flexible. You would not believe how many times I’ve broken my sunglasses! Seems like I go through at least a dozen pairs of sunglasses each year. Maybe if I try these flexible frame sunglasses they’ll last longer.

Everybody’s a little bit OCD

Have you ever noticed how everyone is just a little bit OCD?  I think it is so amusing to see how many people have “their own way” of doing things!  I think that this is one of the reasons why so many married couples bicker!  From how to load the dishwasher right to how to sort and wash and fold the laundry, to how the toilet tissue is supposed to be put on the roller, everyone has their very own way of doing things.  And it is impossible to find someone who has the exact same “way” of doing those things!

Case in point – my mother always would rinse off dirty dishes and put them in the dish strainer – with the intent to wash them later!  So I got in the habit of putting my dirty dishes in the dish strainer.  Well, my wife only puts clean dishes in the dish strainer!  Needless to say that there have been many discussions about how she doesn’t appreciate my putting dirty dishes on top of her clean ones!  What’s a poor fella to do?  My wife tells me to just leave the dirty dishes on the counter beside the sink, or inside the half of the sink that doesn’t have the strainer in it.  But, I have to tell you, it is a hard habit to break!

$6,500 tax credit extended

Some times our Federal Government does something that actually makes sense and is a good thing for all involved. It seems weird to be saying that, but I’m glad that I am honestly able to say it this time around. I’m speaking of the newest extension of the “Home Buyers Tax Credit” There is a good video on Coldwell Bankers web site that I took the time to embed here.

The more knowledge that someone is armed with, the better consumer they will end up becoming. Having something like a $6,500 tax credit available is something worth checking into, wouldn’t you say? This tax credit has made a major impact on the recovery efforts of our whacked out and extremely screwed up economy. And there are still plenty of homes on the market at “way cheap” prices that so many people could end up getting some really decent deals.

I know several people that have recently become first time home owners because of this bill and they couldn’t be happier about the tax credit. Now that it has been extended even more folks might be able to live the American Dream. It’s all about the money, always has been, always will be, sigh…….

Bruce & Melissa

Two fabulous singers together Live singing “Thunder Road”

I always seem to enjoy duets. There a lot of them to found on YouTube.com. I never thought I’d find so many good tunes on YouTube.com, I was always under the impression that YouTube.com was more about funny videos. I’m glad that I found out better.
