Cabling Installation Project

I have been put in charge of a project at work that shouldn’t be too much have a hassle. I just thank goodness for having the Internet available. We are in need of some cabling installation. Our computer system is so outdated and in need of some serious maintenance and brought into the 21st century. This can’t happen too soon as far as any of us our concerned. We have been pushing this new cabling installation for some time now. There has been so many meetings and conferences concerning this important issue that we thought that it would be dragged out for several more months or even years. Things move slowly around this place.

So I need to check around and research which companies are available and are locale and will take care of our particular cabling installation needs and more importantly one that our budget can handle. From what I have learned all ready this cable field has gotten pretty specialized and extremely technical these past few years. But I think I’m up to the task and will do my manager, supervisors and my employer justice.

Boxes

Sometimes I get brave and go down into the basement and bring up a box and sort through it. Not often, but once in a while I’ll find something pretty cool, but for the most part a lot of it ends up in the trash or gets donated to the local Good Will as I get to use it as a tax write off.

Over the weekend I actually brought up three boxes, I was just in the mood for some reason. As usual a large trash bag got filled up quickly, but I didn’t find a few old comic books that I got a kick out of reading again after so many years of being packed away. My favorite was Super Richie. This particular one sold for 35 cents and I believe was put out in 1975 the September issue, number 1 and 52 pages of long ago comic humor.

Just Another Walk In the Park

Guest post written by Stew Anderson

I was walking through Central Park in NYC the other day with my neighbor, Bob, on our morning walk—which we try to do as often as we can to keep in shape. Well, we were walking around a reservoir in the park when Bob started talking about a few apartments across the park where a few cool celebrities live. As he pointed to the buildings, though, I couldn’t help but notice that he was wearing hearing aids in both of his ears. I’d never noticed him wearing them before, and, since I see him almost every day, I asked him about it.

Well, apparently he noticed his hearing had been on the decline, so he started researching miracle ear hearing aids. He said the brand had an assortment of various hearing aids types for him choose from, which sold him on his decision to invest in a pair.

Well, Bob’s success story was so convincing that I called to set up my own appointment for tomorrow morning. I’m starting to realize that, as important as it is to keep your body in shape, it’s also crucial to keep your senses in tact as well. I’m looking forward to changing my ears for the better, too!

Leather Weather

Today was the perfect day for a motorcycle ride, so I made a few calls and rounded up a few friends that have some nice looking and nice sounding Harley’s. We spent the day getting some decent wind in our faces and then stopped for some spicy Mexican Food along with a few cold beers. Couldn’t have been a better day.

Supplemental Education Online

My nephew tells me that he has been utilizing the online tutoring found at tutornext.com for his Math Questions. I gave  up trying to help him with his home work back in the 5th grade, especially in the math department. I remember struggling with trying to help him How to divide  fractions and now that he taking Pre Algebra, since he is now in Middle School (when did they stop calling it Junior High?) I’m afraid that I’d be more of a hindrance then any type of assistance.

I used to have a math teacher in the 6th grade that kept me after school more days than not in order to get me through my math homework and get me promoted with the rest of my class mates. It sucked but it worked. Too bad we didn’t have the Internet like today’s students have available that most have access to. But then not all kids do have the Internet, but at least the libraries have plenty to offer just for the asking. We spent many hours at our local library back in my school days, but there weren’t any computers in the whole building.
