This weekend we are expected, once again, to have a great weather weekend, so I’ll be spending time out in the yard as much as possible getting things done that normally wouldn’t even been thought about for another month or so. It has been in the eighties all week long, crazy weather for the middle of March.
I have ordered some irrigation supplies that I need to get the yard ready for. I have wanted to get lawn sprinklers installed for some time now and when I got my tax refund check deposited into my checking account I went online and found just what I wanted and needed and put the order in in just a matter of minutes.
Working out in the yard is something that we take seriously around here. We like having a nice backyard that we can spend good quality time in all year round, which we have basically been able to do with this extreme warm winter weather that we have been blessed with this year. But during the summer we entertain a good bit and it always helps when people can relax and enjoy being out in the yard, front, side and/or back.

It has been a long time since I have put on a wetsuit and all the other gear that is necessary to enjoy the sport of scuba diving. So when I got an invite to go scuba diving on a weekend of good weather some time in the month of May with a good friend, I decided to drag out all of my scuba equipment to make sure I still had everything and that it is all in good working order. I know that I have put on some weight the last couple of years but I had not idea that I had gained more then my wetsuit could handle safely, so I either have to start dieting and losing weight or start looking around and pricing wetsuits in order to go ahead and enjoy a weekend of fun in the sun and the water with a friend that I don’t get to spend much time with these days.
I should be getting a decent amount of cash back in the next couple of weeks from doing my taxes and I could use some of that money to buy a new wetsuit, but there are so many other things that I really need and want. So I think I should start watching what I eat and get off of my butt and get some more exercise, it seems to be the best idea all the way around.

In many businesses, the company depends on sales. And sales depend on good leads. I don’t know anyone who enjoys making cold calls; many consumers don’t appreciate being interrupted to listen to a sales pitch for something that they have no interest in buying. That’s one good reason to do business with a company that provides good quality warm leads to the sales force.
I have a couple of friends that are in the life insurance sales business. There sure seems to be a lot of competition in that market! One of my friends told me that his company makes him just call people out of the telephone book to try to make appointments. I know that there are companies out there that will do that kind of telemarketing for you so that when the agent makes the call to the customer it is a a warm insurance lead. To be perfectly honest I think that all sales companies should do that.

I was driving home from work and saw a very unusual sight for our small town. I saw a homeless man, wheeling his two wheeled bike, heavily laden with full plastic shopping bags and signs begging for food. This is the very first time I’ve seen this type of sight in our town. I’ve seen it in larger towns and cities, but not in our very own town. The man was walking in the direction of the homeless shelter that our town has; I hope he went there and got the help he needs.

I think that I have decided to get a new credit card. My favorite store, Ann Taylor, has started offering free shipping off of their website if you use your Ann Taylor credit card. I have only had one credit card since I was sixteen years old. My parents always warned me never to get a credit card. They said that I should only use it for emergencies. They said that if I couldn’t buy something straight out, I didn’t need it. Anyway, I always use my clear wireless internet Reading connection to log onto Ann Taylor.com and do some shopping. They usually have a greater variety of sizes and have great sales. The shipping though is usually a flat ten dollars and fifty cents. That really is a pretty good bit of money. Unless I am going to order a lot of things ( over hundred and fifty dollars worth), ordering on-line doesn’t really make sense to me. I think that I am going to think really hard about getting the credit card. I think that I will use it a lot, get free shipping, and can turn around and pay off my account as soon as I use the card.
